Just in time for the Fourth of July weekend, STRIPSTEAK Waikiki will be reopening at International Market Place’s Grand Lanai on July 1. The restaurant is known for its twist on the classic American steakhouse featuring premium cuts of American and Japanese beef with signature chef Michael Mina flair. You can make dining reservations online at seven-rooms.com/reservations/stripsteak and follow the restaurant’s Instagram for updates (@stripsteakhi).
Eat local in Waikiki
Speaking of International Market Place, it’ll soon be home to four locally owned and operated eateries. Kuhio Food Hall opened this spring with two new businesses, Banzai Burger and La Piña Cantina. The former specializes in hefty burgers, chicken sandwiches, hot dogs, onion rings and more, while La Piña Cantina offers a daily happy hour, all-day drink specials and delicious Mexican food.
Moani Waikiki, meanwhile, is slated to debut this summer. The restaurant features comfort food crafted from local recipes. For more info, visit the restaurant’s Instagram (@moaniwaikiki).
Both Liliha Bakery and Skybox Taphouse are expected to open this winter. Yes, you read that right — you can get Coco Puffs in Waikiki. Skybox Taphouse will boast an elevated sports bar and restaurant concept with more than 40 TVs, two full-size bars, a main dining room and an outdoor tailgating area. Follow both businesses on Instagram (@lilihabakery; @skyboxtaphouse).
