When Azure Restaurant & Bar — the fine dining establishment within The Royal Hawaiian, a Luxury Collection Resort, Waikiki — reopened at the end of April, it launched a new prix fixe dining menu available during dinner Fridays-Sundays. Azure’s new menu is a showcase of culinary excellence, according to restaurant manager Nicholas Deneka.
“The menu is completely new, but features familiar elements that Azure is known for,” he explains.
The current prix fixe menu costs $130 and includes an asparagus salad with ricotta; poached scallops with coconut milk vinaigrette; Snake River Farm wagyu strip loin with truffled cream corn, braised leeks and fried enoki mushrooms; and Russian honey cake with orange, dark chocolate ganache and crème fraiche. Vegetarian alternatives include poached hearts of palm and seared tofu.

Coco-nuts about this combo
Uncle’s Ice Cream and Hawaiian Host just brought back one of their limited-edition flavors. With the success of this flavor’s debut last summer, coupled with the recent unbearable heat, this tropical-inspired, frozen treat is available again at retailers islandwide.
This refreshing Toasted Coconut ‘wich features Hawaiian Host mac nut morsels covered in milk chocolate and toasted coconut paired with Uncle’s creamy caramel ice cream. The decadent combo is sandwiched between two housemade oatmeal cookies.
“With tropical favorites, coconut and macadamia nuts, it makes the perfect summer indulgence with our creamy caramel ice cream,” states Paul Logan, co-founder of Uncle’s Ice Cream. “It was a real hit when we first introduced it, and I’m happy to be bringing it back this season.”
