Waikiki Yokocho — the Japanese food hall in the Waikiki Shopping Plaza — marks its first anniversary with a three-day celebration starting Friday.
Most restaurants will offer half-off deals from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday; Nomu and Umami Teppan Kingyo will pour $1.99 beers all weekend long.
Sunday brings Santa, who will sit with kids starting at 3 p.m. Nomu is handing out free ice cream to the first 100 children to visit the restaurant that day.
Live entertainment is scheduled all three days.
Parking will be available at the Hyatt Centric Waikiki Beach, 349 Seaside Ave. Yokocho restaurants will provide free two-hour validation.

‘TIS THE SEASON FOR REINDEER DOGS
Never say Hank’s Haute Dogs isn’t festive. As in years past, the Kakaako gourmet hot-dog eatery is serving reindeer sausage, brought in from Anchorage, Alaska.
The 1/4-pound sausage is a blend of caribou and beef, and served dressed with mustard, onion, relish and tomato. It’s $8.95, while supplies last.

PARTY WITH THE HRA
The Hawaii Restaurant Association’s 2017 Holiday Party takes place 5 to 9 p.m. Monday at WISP Restaurant and Lounge, 2885 Kalakaua Ave.
The association hosts the event annually as a way to show appreciation for all those in the industry.
Tickets are $50 members, $60 for nonmembers, which covers food and drink, prizes, jazz entertainment by the Dana Land Trio and selfies with Santa.
