The first Friday of the month marks the first formal day of operation for Bar Elixrs, Chinatown’s newest watering hole.
Owners George Kail and Rob Osorio are taking advantage of this week’s First Friday celebrations to introduce Elixr and the Mexican specialties of chef Alejandro Alvarado of Alejandro’s Mexican Food.
Hours are 3 p.m. to 2 a.m. daily, with lunch hours coming soon. Bar Elixrs is at 1153 Bethel St., across from the Hawaii Theatre
Dinners showcase Caymus, Patz & Hall
>> Beachhouse at the Moana: “Pairings” dinner featuring Caymus Vineyards cabernet sauvignons, 6:30 p.m. Thursday, with six courses by chef David Lukela.
