Ichiriki Japanese Nabe Restaurant has opened its fourth location, and its first to feature kaiten-style, or conveyor-belt, presentation of ingredients.
The restaurant is on the ground floor at 1127 11th Ave. and combines Japanese-style hot pot with the efficiency and convenience of a stream of cook-your-own ingredient choices constantly rolling by.
Ichiriki Kaimuki opens at 11 a.m. daily and closes at 10:30 p.m. Sundays through Thursdays and at 11:30 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays.
In the coming months the second location of Middle Eastern restaurant Kan Zaman will open one floor above Ichiriki.

The Mad Hatter’s Mother & Daughter Tea will be held at 1 p.m. May 7, the day before Mother’s Day, at The Veranda.
Guests are encouraged to dress up as their favorite characters from the childhood tale or just wear a “great hat.” Highlights include a fashion show by Cinnamon Girl, morsels by pastry chef Nanako Perez-Nava and a chance for mothers and daughters to walk the catwalk together while a professional photographer snaps their picture.

The $50 fee includes an 8-by-10-inch mother-and-daughter photo, a glass of rose sparkling wine for the moms and a copy of “Alice in Wonderland” for the children.
