GINGERBREAD GLOW
Stripsteak Waikiki is hosting a gingerbread house workshop Dec. 14, with a portion of the proceeds going to the Make-A-Wish Foundation .
A $35 ticket buys an 8-by-10-inch gingerbread house and decorating supplies, plus refreshments, a photo station, craft station and entertainment. Children must have their own tickets and will get their own houses to decorate.
The event runs 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. Toy donations for the charity also will be taken during the event and through the month.

SPICE MIXES SHOWCASED
Chef Adam Tabura is introducing his Manele Spice Co. salt blends at Foodland stores at a series of appearances through the month.
Tabura, who led the Aloha Plate team that won “The Great Food Truck Race” on the Food Network in 2013, has created a line of local sea salts blended with a global selection of spices.
He is also a graduate of the Mana Up accelerator program designed to help small businesses bring products to market.
His blends are the first to be sold under a partnership between Foodland and the accelerator to help Mana Up entrepreneurs reach a statewide audience.
Tabura will offer product tastings from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Foodland and Foodland Farms stores on these dates: Friday, Aina Haina; Dec. 11, Pearl City; Dec. 13, Ala Moana Center; Dec. 14, Kehalani, Maui.
PARADE MUNCHIES
If the Kaimuki Christmas Parade Thursday is on your holiday calendar, Brew’d Craft Pub is offering sustenance to get you from the first float to the arrival of Santa.
The parade runs from 6 to 8 p.m. along Waialae Avenue from Chaminade University to Koko Head Avenue. Starting at 4 p.m., Brew’d, at the corner of Ninth and Waialae, will sell two items designed to be easy to hold onto during the parade: turkey legs brined in beer, then braised in milk ($10), and grilled Mexican street corn ($5), plus holiday-themed cocktails.

PAI POP-UP HAS HOLIDAY SPIRIT
A pop-up market next week at Pai Honolulu will feature holiday treats from pies to popcorn.
The market runs from 11:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Dec. 12 and 13, with a portion of proceeds going to Les Dames des Escoffier International’s Hawaii chapter, a nonprofit that supports women in the food-service industry.
Among edibles for sale: cookies and stollen from Cake Works; roasted coffees from Coffea Consulting; cocktail and soda syrups from GK Pantry; pies, mochi and other pastries from Sweet Revenge; and popcorn and biscotti from Pai. Adding to the mix will be gift items from Kuhn’s Pottery and Midori Jewelry Hawaii.
If shopping makes you hungry, Pai will offer takeout sandwiches, or sit down to a $39 three-course lunch from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., or for happy hour specials that start at 5 p.m.
