Dave Reardon

Dave Reardon writes about mostly sports for the Honolulu Star-Advertiser. He was born in Honolulu and attended Pearl City High School, Northwestern University and the University of Hawaii.

 

In addition to the Honolulu Star-Bulletin and the Honolulu Advertiser at various times since 1981, he worked at the Gainesville Sun in Florida, and his writing has also appeared in national publications including Sports Illustrated and the ESPN College Football Encyclopedia. He has won more than 10 state or national awards for sports column, feature and news reporting while at one time or another covering every sports beat in Hawaii, and has also been honored for nutrition and medical reporting while at Island Scene magazine.

 

In his free time he teaches sports journalism at UH-Manoa and does volunteer work.
