Question: Regarding the AARP Tax-Aide program, could you please print the locations? I can’t use the online tool, and the Aina Haina library (usual place) is closed.
Answer: The Aina Haina Public Library is not among Oahu’s 17 locations this year because it has been closed since April’s flooding. The Tax-Aide program will expand hours at the Hawaii Kai library to compensate, according to AARP Hawaii.
This program provides free income tax preparation for low- to moderate-income people — especially older folks — whose tax returns are not complex. You don’t need to be an AARP member to use the service, which is offered in conjunction with the IRS. English will be spoken at all sites; other languages will be as noted in the following list of sites, days, hours and duration. Walk-ins are welcome (first come, first served), except at the Lanakila location.
