Been missing your mizithra cheese?
The Old Spaghetti Factory, lost from the restaurant scene when the venerable Ward Warehouse location closed last year, is back.
The family-friendly restaurant opened at the Aloha Tower Marketplace Monday with the same menu of pasta, pasta and pasta, plus such Italian specialties as chicken Marsala, beef tenderloin medallions and shrimp scampi.
The famed mizithra pasta, made with the Greek cheese and brown butter, is one of many pasta options. The menu also includes gluten- free pasta choices.
The original Spaghetti Factory opened in 1978 and remained popular up to its closing, which made room for redevelopment of the Ward Warehouse site.
The new restaurant — No. 44 in the national chain — seats 400 in indoor and outdoor dining areas, two banquet rooms and a full bar.
Hours through Friday are 4:30 to 10 p.m., but starting Saturday the restaurant will be open from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily. Call 591-2513.
