Dim sum dances with cocktails at Yauatcha Waikiki in a “Flow & Prosper” menu introduced this week.
The name combines words, numbers, sounds and meanings to forge an auspicious theme, based on two of the luckiest numbers in the Chinese culture: six, which in Mandarin sounds like “liu,” which means “flow”; and eight, which sounds like “fa,” which means “prosper.”
Thus six cocktails are available at $8 each and eight dim sum for $6 each (among choices are Phoenix Tail Shrimp Shu Mai, Roasted Duck Pumpkin Puff and Three-Style Mushroom Cheung Fun).
The menu is available from 3 to 6 p.m. weekdays at the bar at Yauatcha in the International Market Place. Call 739-9318.
The restaurant has also launched rickshaw service — free pedicab rides in Waikiki to and from the International Market Place.
