The long arm of the law will reach Ala Moana Center Monday and Tuesday, when law-enforcement officers bus tables at Bubba Gump Shrimp Co. and California Pizza Kitchen on behalf of Special Olympics Hawai‘i.
The annual Tip a Cop fundraiser, in its 26th year, has off-duty officers volunteering to work the dining rooms of various restaurants to raise funds for Special Olympics. That happens next week during both lunch and dinner.
Have a nice meal with the help of a cop at Bubba Gump, noon to 2 p.m. or 5 to 7 p.m.; and at CPK, 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. or 4 to 6 p.m.
Proceeds raised will benefit the Aukake Classic, which in August brings together more than 550 athletes and coaches from across the state. Tip a Cop also raises awareness for Special Olympics.
