Crews continue to battle Haleakala Crater Road fire
The Haleakala Crater Road fire in Upper Kula is 70% contained at 550 acres as of 7 p.m. Saturday, according to the Maui Fire Department. Water from air and ground assets helped suppress the fire, along with the work of county, state and federal hand crews.
