Power outage shuts down Downtown Honolulu
Thursday's downtown Honolulu power outage clogged traffic and closed businesses and state offices. Hawaiian Electric said the outage began at about 10 a.m., affecting customers throughout the downtown area, including Chinatown, the State Capitol, the U.S. post office, state courts and the federal building.
