Dean Mishima and his wife, Dee, are officially closing up the family-run restaurant, Dean’s Drive Inn, for good on July 10, after supply shortages and the cost of goods drove up the cost of doing business, and, as he said — really makes no business sense any more.

Dean’s Drive Inn in Kaneohe has been one of the Star-Advertiser’s ‘Ilima award winners, and was featured on Food Network’s “Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives” with Guy Fieri in 2014.
