3 people, including 2 teens, shot near Thomas Square; suspect in custody
UPDATE: 9:25 a.m.
Honolulu police arrested a 21-year-old man after three people, including two teens, sustained gunshot injuries in a Thursday night shooting near Thomas Square.
Police said the man shot multiple times at two teenagers, aged 15 and 17, and a 20-year-old man, during a fight at about 8:50 p.m.
A witness attempted to chase the suspect who fled with the firearm but the witness was allegedly assaulted by two other males, ages 18 and 17.
The 20-year-old shooting victim was taken in critical condition to a hospital. Police said his condition has since improved to stable condition. The other two victims were taken in serious condition to a hospital. Both have also improved to stable condition.
Police said the witness sustained a possible minor concussion.

Officers arrested the alleged gunman near South King and Pensacola streets just after 9:20 p.m. on suspicion of second-degree attempted murder.
Police also arrested the two assault suspects Thursday night on suspicion of third-degree assault. The 18-year-old man was released from custody after posting $500 bail and the juvenile was released pending investigation.
The 21-year-old man remained in custody this morning.
Police said the three suspects know each other. It’s unknown at this time whether the suspects and shooting victims are known to one another.
Police are continuing their investigation.

A 15-year-old boy is in serious condition after suffering apparent gunshot wounds to his leg and lower body in the Thomas Square area this evening.
The Honolulu Emergency Medical Services said that the incident took place at around 8:50 p.m. Honolulu police responded to Victoria Street near Thomas Square. He had two gunshot wounds — one to his lower body, and another to his leg.
EMS transported the boy in serious condition to a trauma hospital.
Honolulu police closed nearby roads as they investigated.
