Family, friends and fans of Don Ho celebrated the late musician’s 89th birthday with the annual Don Ho “Suck ‘Em Up” celebration at the International Market Place on Sunday. The event featured a blessing, lei presentation, music, hula and guest speakers. Ho was a main attraction at the Duke Kahanamoku nightclub in the 1960s located in the International Market Place where he played hits such as “Tiny Bubbles” and “I’ll Remember You.” Pictured is Hawaii Five-0 actor Al Harrington kissing the bronze statue of Don Ho during the lei draping.
