>> The Oahu Choral Society’s board of directors has announced the hiring of Joshua Habermann as artistic director, effective Thursday. Habermann is currently the chorus director in the Jean D. Wilson Chorus, director chairman of the Dallas Symphony Chorus and artistic director of the Santa Fe Desert Chorale in New Mexico.
>> Vera Lee has been promoted to librarian of the Robert Allerton Library, which houses art publications from around the world. Lee joined the Honolulu Museum of Art in April 2019. She received her bachelor’s degree in English from the University of California at Berkeley, her master’s degree in library information systems from the University of Washington and her Ph.D. from the University of Hawaii at Manoa.
>> Ching Jen Lum is the museum’s new donor engagement manager. Lum, who has worked at HoMA since 2014, is a graduate of Punahou School and received her bachelor’s degree in Chinese studies from Wellesley College and a master’s degree in arts administration from Columbia University.
