Lt. Gov. Josh Green told Spotlight Hawaii this morning that vaccines for Hawaii youth over the age of 12 could begin to be available as early as next week, which add another 55,000 more people in the state eligible for vaccinations.

The Food and Drug Administration today cleared Pfizer Inc. and BioNTech SE’s COVID-19 vaccine for use in children age 12 to 15 in the United States.

He also discussed his push for changes to the mask mandate to allow for loosening restrictions on mask wearing outdoors, his thoughts on Oahu’s tier system, and the changes to the Safe Travels program for those with vaccine verification flying inter island starting tomorrow.
