Mayor Kirk Caldwell held a press conference on the sidewalk in front of The Surfing Pig, where the owner, Stan Glander, was able to use a portion of the sidewalk fronting his restaurant for an outdoor seating area on Friday.
Caldwell said restaurants can apply to set up tables on city sidewalks adjacent to their eateries.
