Honolulu police arrest man, 39, on suspicion of murder in Pupukea
Honolulu police have arrested a 39-year-old man on suspicion of second-degree murder in connection with the death of a 36-year-old man in Pupukea.
Police said the suspect and victim were involved in a physical altercation at 59-240 Pupukea Road at about 11:50 a.m. Tuesday during which time the victim became unresponsive.
Shayne Enright, spokeswoman of the Honolulu Emergency Services Department, said the victim went into cardiac arrest.
EMS responded and administered life-saving treatment. He was taken in critical condition to a hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Enright said the victim may have had an underlying medical condition. He did not have any extensive physical injuries.
The suspect remained at the scene where police arrested him.

He remains in custody as police continue their investigation.
