Companies renting bikes, e-bikes can lease city parking space

Honolulu Mayor Kirk Caldwell signed into city law a proposal to approve parking for bike rentals.

                                California company LimeBike placed electric scooters around town in May 2018 without properly notifying government agencies, and the city impounded them. They caused a hazard, taking up sidewalk space. The new law currently allows only traditional and electric bicycles to be parked in leased city parking spaces.
