Opponents of wind-energy project stall equipment delivery

Protesters gathered Monday night on a road in Kahuku to block an Oahu wind farm developer from delivering heavy equipment to begin construction in a scene reminiscent of the months-long telescope protests on the Big Island.

                                Opponents of the Na Pua Makani wind farm project linked arms and stood their ground Monday as several pieces of heavy equipment and trucks were brought to the site of the protest off Kamehameha Highway, which some of the protesters felt was an aggressive move.
