The Young at Heart Expo, featuring the latest in health, financial and lifestyle products and services for island residents 50 and over, will make its debut in September at the Blaisdell Exhibition Hall.
It is sponsored by the Honolulu Star-Advertiser and will be held Sept. 20-22 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Admission is free.
“Powered by our Star Events division, I am excited that the new Young at Heart Expo will feature notable brands and specialty providers from across the islands,” said Dennis Francis, president and publisher of the Star-Advertiser. “Attendees will enjoy free product samples and live demonstrations while learning more about healthy living, money matters and leisure in your later years.”
The Star-Advertiser is unveiling a custom program publication and website to make it easy for attendees to locate and follow up with exhibitors while staying informed on activities taking place during the day.
“The three-day event will feature more than 300 booths for businesses and organizations catering to this lucrative market where most of our economy’s discretionary spending is concentrated,” said Dave Kennedy, chief revenue officer of the Star-Advertiser. “Exhibitors will also interact with attendees through a broad range of seminars and qualified speakers.”
Hawaii entertainer Danny Kaleikini will be the event ambassador.
“Attendees, their close family and friends will be sure not to miss the learning opportunities, food and fun taking place throughout the weekend, including chances to win great prizes,” said Gerald Shintaku, director of Star Events.
