Four people were injured, one of them critically, in a multiple-vehicle accident this afternoon that has closed the on-ramp to Kahekili Highway from the Likelike Highway.
Honolulu police said 11 vehicles were involved in the crash, which occurred around 2 p.m. at the Kahekili on-ramp heading toward Kahaluu.

EMS said a 31-year-old man was in critical condition, two women, ages 87 and 70, were in stable condition, and another female whose age was unknown was in serious condition. Paramedics treated the injured and transported them to a hospital.
The critically injured man was in a blue Ford car which was totalled.
Police said that witnesses saw a tow wagon, which was carrying another truck, crashing through 10 vehicles and hitting the guardrail.
Witnesses told officers that they saw the female driver of the tow wagon on her cellphone before the crash, police said.
The tow wagon “looked like it was losing some brake power,” Honolulu police Lt. James Slayter said.
The accident clogged late-afternoon Likelike traffic to Windward Oahu.
Honolulu Police Department’s Vehicular Homicide Section is investigating.
