Keiki can explore Honolulu Museum of Art’s galleries with a docent on an “Animals and Art” tour highlighting some of the exciting animals depicted in art throughout history. The tours are just one of many “wild” activities at Family Sunday presented by Bank of Hawaii Foundation — “Wild World,” Sunday at the museum.
The event “will be a fun way for families to explore the Honolulu Museum of Art, make art inspired by animals and spend time with one another,” said Lauren May, the museum’s public programs manager.
Also: Make a mask inspired by the museum’s Nandi Head sculpture, learn about animals from the Bishop Museum Science Education team and bring a book to swap at the Bank of Hawaii Book Swap.
“Families are also encouraged to take the free shuttle up to the Spalding House museum for more art-making and entertainment,” May said. “Kids can listen to a storyteller and make mini treehouse sculptures with AIA Honolulu.”
