INSTRUCTIONS
1. On the paper, trace half the inside and outside of the wooden embroidery hoop to create an arch.
2. Draw one arch below the initial semicircles and four arches above to create total of six arches for the rainbow. Number the arches from one to six starting from the smallest. (Note: the first arch traced from the hoop is marked in black.)
3. Cut out the whole rainbow arch and place on fuschia foam. Trace and cut out.
4. Cut the paper arch into six narrow arch strips.
5. Place the largest arch on the tangerine foam; trace and cut out. Repeat with the rest of the arches on yellow, green, blue with the smallest arch cut from the purple foam.
6. Assemble the colored foam arches on the fuschia arch and glue together make a rainbow. Place the rainbow onto the top half of the hoop (centering the hoop screw at the top) and glue.
7. Using the hoop as a guide, draw a cloud shape on the paper, ensuring the cloud slightly covers the ends of the rainbow. Cut out cloud.
8. Trace the cloud paper on one sheet of white felt. Stack the two sheets of felt and cut through both to create two clouds.
9. Glue one cloud to the front of the hoop, slightly overlapping the cloud over the rainbow’s edges. Glue the second cloud on the back of the hoop.
10. You can cut out smaller cloud puffs from the excess felt and glue on top to add more dimension to the clouds.
11. Tie a ribbon loop to the top of the hoop screw for a hanger. You can place small items in the pocket created by the clouds.
