Kids have an exciting opportunity to become a junior animal trainer at Sea Life Park through fun games and activities — like making their own training whistle and preparing fish to feed animals at the park — this weekend at the park’s Keiki Sunday event, “Jr. Animal Trainer Day.”
“Sea Life Park welcomes keiki, kupuna and all their loved ones to learn about all that goes into training animals and how this benefits the animals’ overall health and wellness,” said Sea Life Park marketing manager Christina Leos.
The event will showcase storybook characters sharing fun educational facts and the roles sea lions play under the sea, as well as “mermaids” at the park’s Shark Tank.
“To kick off our first Keiki Sunday (of the year), the park will be celebrating ‘Jr. Animal Trainer Day’ by providing all our guests with the exciting opportunity to witness first-hand animal-training demonstrations from our experienced staff,” Leos added.
There will also be music performances that celebrate the marine environment, thematic arts and crafts, visits with the park’s wildlife partnership booths, scavenger hunts, face painting, glitter tattoos and more.
