A field of illuminated flowers changes colors as it reacts to sound and movement — inviting exploration and inspiring a sense of wonder among visitors. Bring the whole family to experience “Light Garden, a 1,000 Year Bloom,” a radiant, immersive art installation open nightly through January at the new Victoria Ward Park at Ward Village.
Designed by Symmetry Labs and inspired by Hawaiian flora, “Light Garden” features more than 25,000 LED lights in more than 2,300 floral sculptures spanning 9,500 square feet.
“Millions of people visit Hawaii each year who cannot help but be awestruck by the natural beauty that is a hallmark of the state,” Symmetry Labs founder Alexander Green said via email. “I was excited and honored by the opportunity to create a work of art designed to elicit the same sense of natural wonder and island enchantment using innovative technology.”
“Light Garden, a 1,000 Year Bloom” opened last month and marked the debut of Victoria Ward Park, Ward Village’s central greenscape in the heart of the 60-acre master planned community.
