Kalihi warehouse fire causes $370,000 in damage
Firefighters are trying to determine what sparked a warehouse fire this afternoon in Kalihi, causing $370,000 in damage.
The fire started at about 1:30 p.m. at 1708 Hoe St. and responding firefighters found thick smoke and flames coming from the bottom of a rollup door, said Honolulu Fire Department Capt. Scot Seguirant.
About 45 firefighters battled the blaze and extinguished it by 2:15 p.m.
No occupants were reportedly in the building at the time and no one was injured in the fire.
Police closed Kalihi Street between Kahai and Auiki streets while firefighters worked on the fire.
