Maui firefighters Sunday were investigating a fire that burned a home on Pohala Street in Wailuku. Crews called to the scene at 11:03 a.m. Sunday found heavy smoke and flames coming from a bedroom window. They were able to keep the fire contained to the bedroom. No one was injured. The occupants of the home — two adults and two children — managed to exit the structure safely before firefighters arrived.
No property damage estimates were available Sunday evening, firefighters said.
