Ewa Beach woman arrested on Virginia murder charge
An Ewa Beach woman wanted on murder charges in Virginia was arrested on Oahu today.
Authorities with the U.S. Marshals and Honolulu Police Department said Shanon Tracett Hodges was wanted by the Newport News Police Department in Virginia on an arrest warrant for second-degree murder, use of a firearm in commission of a felony, discharge of a firearm in an occupied building, and kidnapping in May 2017.
She was indicted in Virginia on June 11.
She is accused of shooting her husband, 19-year-old Denzel Marquise Labiche, according to 13newsnow.com, an ABC affiliate in Virginia. The couple met in the Army, and Labiche was an Army private.
At the time of the incident, Hodges was in the Army and stationed in Virginia.
She is being held pending a court appearance and extradition hearing.
