Armed man carjacks friend in Kalihi, police say

Police have initiated a first-degree robbery investigation after a woman reported that a male acquaintance allegedly stole her vehicle at gunpoint in Kalihi early Wednesday.

Police said an adult male suspect pointed a firearm at the victim and took her silver BMW at about 12:35 a.m.

Police recovered the vehicle near Farrington High School at about 5:15 a.m.

No arrests have been made at this time.
