Alexander & Baldwin Inc. has created a new image for its nickname, A&B, to go along with its new structure as a real estate investment trust.
The 147-year-old Hawaii company, which is the fourth-largest private landowner in the state, unveiled a new logo today — an image of a lowercase “a” linked to an uppercase “B” surrounded by a maze-like collection of lines inside a circle.
A&B said the image surrounding the letters was inspired by decorative patterns on its historic headquarters building in downtown Honolulu. Local design firm Sae Design and communications company iQ360 helped A&B produce the new logo along with a new corporate tagline, “Partners for Hawaii.”
