Junior hitters McKenna Granato and Casey Castillo combined for 26 kills and Hawaii won its sixth consecutive match, sweeping UC Davis 26-24, 25-17, 25-20 in a Big West volleyball match tonight at the Stan Sheriff Center.
Granato finished with 16 kills to go with 13 digs, and Castillo had 10 kills for the Rainbow Wahine (7-5, 2-0). Senior middle Emily Maglio added 12 kills, seven in Set 3, and senior libero Savanah Kahakai 14 digs, giving her 1,203 for her career.
Freshman opposite Mahalia White led the Aggies (8-7, 0-1) with nine kills. Junior libero Malia Bolko had 25 of Davis’ 56 digs.
Hawaii heads out on its first road trip next week, playing at Cal State Fullerton on Friday and UC Riverside on Saturday.
