Police seek Hilo man in assault investigation

Hawaii island police are asking for the public’s help in locating a 27-year-old Hilo man wanted for questioning in an assault investigation.
Wayne Eric Alfred Gonsalves Jr. is described as 5 feet 9 inches tall, 210 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes. He also has a small star-type tattoo on the back of his left hand between his wrist and thumb.
Anyone with information on Gonsalves’ whereabouts is asked to call police at 808-935-3311 or CrimeStoppers at 961-8300.
