The fifth annual Hawaii Homebuyers Fair is set for today with top industry professionals on hand to answer questions and offer advice regarding the tight residential real estate market.
Potential homebuyers, homeowners and anyone interested in homeownership will have the opportunity to meet with real estate professionals, home improvement vendors and representatives from the community.
The free event, sponsored by the Honolulu Star-Advertiser and HK Construction, will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Hawai‘i Convention Center.
“With this being our fifth homebuyers fair, the team is able to use valuable experience to continue providing people with the knowledge they need to make the right choices for one of the biggest decisions they will ever make,” said Dennis Francis, publisher of the Star-Advertiser. “The Hawaii Homebuyers Fair is an all-inclusive resource that takes the mystery out of buying, selling and improving a home in Hawaii. It’s one of Hawaii’s best opportunities to find answers to any real estate, building or financing questions.”
There will be more than 25 vendors representing Realtors, mortgage companies, homebuilders and improvement providers as well as community resources and nonprofit organizations. Home-buying, mortgage and solar workshops will be provided by Bank of Hawaii, Locations and Poncho’s Solar.
Attendees who are interested in being prequalified for a home loan by mortgage companies and service providers are encouraged to bring their current tax documents, pay stubs and other information about their expenses.
Attendees also may enter for a chance to win $100,000 from the Honolulu Board of Realtors or a Vacations Hawaii trip for two to Las Vegas.
