On-site staff key to upkeep of Kauai park, state officials say

Helicopters removed nearly 7,000 pounds of trash and human waste out of Kalalau, Kauai, during five days of cleanup in June. Since Jan. 1, Division of State Parks maintenance staff on Kauai has gathered, bagged and airlifted 10.92 tons of rubbish from the Kalalau section of the Napali Coast State Wilderness Park.
