Feds seek stay on Hawaii Trump travel ban lawsuit deadlines

President Donald Trump has lunch with troops while visiting U.S. Central Command and U.S. Special Operations Command at MacDill Air Force Base, Fla. on Monday.
The U.S. Department of Justice is asking a federal court to suspend all deadlines in Hawaii’s lawsuit challenging President Donald Trump’s travel ban on people from seven majority-Muslim countries.
The federal government filed a motion in U.S. District Court in Honolulu on Monday requesting a stay on deadlines until the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals addresses a separate lawsuit on the same issue filed by Washington state and Minnesota.
The state of Hawaii had asked the court on Friday for a temporary restraining order and for a hearing within 14 days.

Hawaii Attorney General Doug Chin says Trump’s executive order keeps Hawaii families apart, keeps residents from traveling and harms the state’s tourism industry. How does any of these reasons violate the Constitution?
The San Francisco Court of Appeals is a liberal court. The decision will likely go against Trump. Will have to go to the US Supreme Court. This is one reason for the democrats stalling confirmation of court nominee. With only eight judges, the decision by the SF court will stand. It’s politics as usual. Meanwhile thousands of possible terrorists may enter the US with little vetting. Even the FBI admits to the flaw in the vetting process of people coming from these countries which the Obama admin named as countries harboring terrorist.
