Pizzeria chain expanding to Kailua, Aiea
The Pieology Pizzeria chain will expand with a minimum of two new locations this year, in Kailua and in Pearlridge Center in Aiea, the company has announced.
The franchised, build-your-own pizza chain is operated in Hawaii by Cotti Foods, which will open is next locations at 151 Hekili Street, across from Target in Kailua, and in Pearlridge, it will be next to Sears.
The Kailua location is set to open in the summer, while the company continues to plan additional locations across the state.
The first location, in Aina Haina, has broken internal Pieology records with its successful launch, according to a company statement.
“We are so grateful to the people of Hawaii for embracing Pieology the way they have,” said Cotti Foods’ president Peter Capriotti II. He pledged to continue supporting the community with such efforts as a $10,000 donation to Lt. Gov. Shan Tsutsui’s R.E.A.C.H. Out Hawaii program, providing academic support to students in 6th through 8th grade.
Cotti Foods is based in California and operates 62 Taco Bell restaurants on the mainland, and 43 Wendy’s restaurants, including seven in Hawaii.
Capriotti told the Star-Advertiser in July of 2015 that he had exclusive rights to develop 20 Pieology locations in Hawaii.

CHHEEEEEHOOOOOO!!! Morimoto always loves a good pizza. I gotta try this place out. I’m hoping one day those pizza vending machines will make their way to Hawaii.
Fraapes also loves a good pizza! Particularly nice since the Kailua location is within walking distance!
Hope they have thicker crusts as an option because I do not eat thin crust pizza. Its all in the bread for this purist!
We need another fast food/pizza joint/franchise like we need more people having chronic health problems.
Amen!
Population control. 😉 I say feed all the bums all the food they want ASAP!
I only eat pizza made in Waikiki – it just tastes better.
Try Sophie’s in Hawaii Kai, Koko Marina across from movie theater. Same concept but locally owned. Owner is great guy and can be found working there too.
Ate their pizza and was not impressed. No interest in going back.
Great! Just what we need; Yet another pizza joint.
Certainly better than the high end retail stores that you don’t want to go.
Besides, its just around the corner from Grace and Growlers-pizza and beer hard to beat.
