Journey adds second Blaisdell Arena show
Rock band Journey has sold out a first concert at Blaisdell Arena and is adding a second show on Feb. 24.
Tickets for the second show go on sale at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 22.
A first concert, scheduled for Feb. 23, sold out within hours of going on sale today. The concerts are being presented by Live Nation and Honolulu’s BAMP Project.
The band was a multi-platinum-selling hitmaker in the 1970s and 1980s, and has enjoyed a surge in popularity as a touring act with the addition of Filipino lead singer Arnel Pineda in 2007. Henry Kapono will be the opening performer at both shows.
Tickets for the additional Blaisdell Arena show are $65 to $155. Beginning Tuesday, they can be purchased at ticketmaster.com, by phone at 800-745-3000, or at Ticketmaster outlets including the Blaisdell Box Office and Walmart stores in Hawaii.
