Army and Marine units are scheduled to conduct weapons and other training at Schofield Barracks that may be audible in neighboring communities.
Here’s the training schedule:
>> Today: Army artillery and mortar training on Schofield Barracks
>> Saturday and Sunday: Marine artillery training on Schofield Barracks
>> Monday through Oct. 14: Army artillery and mortar training on Schofield Barracks
>> Wednesday through Oct. 21: Army Lightning Academy training with blank ammunition and explosive simulators on East Range. Training will occur during daytime and nighttime hours.
>> Oct. 21-23: Marine artillery training on Schofield Barracks
>> Oct. 27-Nov. 9: The 25th Infantry Division will be conducting a large-scale training exercise called Lightning Forge.
Training with blank ammunition and explosives simulators will occur during daytime and nighttime hours.
