The Interfaith Alliance Hawai‘i will hold a panel discussion titled “Stewards of the Creation: Envision Community, Engage Sustainably!”
The event, which is part of the group’s monthly “Open Table” session, is set for 7 p.m. Sept. 20 at Church of the Crossroads, 1212 University Ave. Panelists will include the Rev. David Turner, executive director of Camp Mokuleia; the Rev. Kaleo Patterson, president of the Pacific Justice & Reconciliation Center; state Sen. Laura Thielen; and Kaleo Wong, a Hokule‘a crew member and member of the Polynesian Voyaging Society.
The moderator will be Travis Idol, president of Hawaii Interfaith Power and Light, which works to raise awareness of the spiritual importance tied to global warming issues and promotes energy efficiency, conservation and renewable energy.
