Woman, 34, killed in single car crash on Lanai
A 34-year-old woman was killed in a single-car crash early this morning on Lanai, Maui police said.
Police identified the woman as Natasha Jenkins, of Lanai.
Police said Jenkins was driving a 2009 Toyota Corolla westbound on Keomoku Road near mile-marker 6.8 when she veered off the roadway, hit an embankment, and was ejected as her car rolled several times.
Police said Jenkins’ friends were following her, but did not see the accident and found her under her car.
Jenkins was taken to Lanai Community Hospital where she died. The crash happened about 3:18 a.m.
This was Maui’s 12th traffic fatality this year compared to 15 at this time last year.

Victim was ejected, meaning seat belt was not engaged. Auto rolled several times and pinned her when found by friends. Safe speed would not cause auto to roll/flip several times? Millennial and impetuous?
