Man charged in fatal stabbing at Kapiolani Park
Prosecutors today charged a 61-year-old man with second-degree murder after he allegedly fatally stabbed a 55-year-old man near the tennis courts at Kapiolani Regional Park off Paki Avenue.
Karl Forester, who has no local address, was arrested Thursday and charged today.
Police said they were called to an argument on Paki Avenue near the tennis courts where the old archery range was and found the victim unconscious.
After the stabbing, Forester returned to the scene as officers were giving the victim cardiopulmonary resuscitation, police said.
A witness identified Forester as the suspect, and he was arrested shortly after noon.
Emergency Medical Services treated and transported the man in critical condition to a hospital, where he later died.
