Ranier Ines was indicted on charges of accomplice to commit murder, conspiracy to commit murder, kidnapping and robbery. He will be arraigned in Circuit Court on Thursday.
Both men were indicted July 20 and are being held at Oahu Community Correctional Center in lieu of
$1 million bail each.
A police affidavit said Ines kidnapped co-worker Kele Stout in September as they were leaving a job site, ordering Stout at gunpoint to drive to Waianae.
Ines and Lafoga beat Stout, then 25 years old, in a garage in Waianae before Ines told Lafoga to “handle” Stout, the affidavit said. Lafoga then drove off with Stout and allegedly shot him multiple times inside a van. Stout escaped when Lafoga stepped out of the van to get supplies to burn it, the affidavit said.
Stout managed to drive himself to a clinic in Waianae, where he fell into a coma with a gunshot wound to his face. He later recovered.
