A repair crew worked to fix the water main break at the intersection of McCully and Citron streets this morning.

Police have closed all lanes of McCully Street between Citron and Waiola streets due to a water main break this morning.

The closure was reported at 7:44 a.m. Thirteen customers are without water service, according to the Board of Water Supply. A water wagon has been deployed to service affected customers.

Repairs to the 16-inch water main break, near the intersection of McCully and Citron streets, are expected to continue on into the evening, according to the utility.

Traffic is being rerouted to Citron and Waiola streets. Motorists are advised to take alternate routes, if possible.

    We can’t reliably get water fro point A to point B … but we have Rail.

    Think of all the money wasted on rail when we should be caring for our aging infrastructure. $11 billion could fix our sewers and water mains.
