Kauai police continue to seek information about a hit-and-run accident that killed a 48-year-old man in Lihue in April.
Eric Shorr of Wailua was killed April 9 when he was struck by a pickup truck while walking on Kapule Highway, just north of the Hanamaulu Bridge.
Police described the truck as a slightly lifted Toyota Tacoma, or similar-style pickup truck, mid-2000s model, with tires extending past the edges of the truck body. It is suspected to be a dark color, possibly dark gray or black. The paint coat was faded and possibly oxidized. It also had tubular pipe racks that appeared to be gray or silver.
The Kauai Police Department urges anyone with information about the incident to call officer Shawn Hanna at 241-1618 or police dispatch at 241-1711. Anyone wishing to remain anonymous can call CrimeStoppers at 246-8300.
