Hiker critically injured at Manoa Falls
A young woman or older teenage girl, possibly alone, was critically injured at Manoa Falls this evening.
A group of hikers reported hearing a thud and found a female unconscious at the base of the Manoa Falls, said Honolulu Fire Department Capt. David Jenkins. They brought her out of the water.
HFD dispatched personnel at 6:20 p.m. and arrived in seven minutes. Firefighters hiked up the trail and were at her side by 6:40 p.m.
She was treated and airlifted to Manoa District Park, where she was transferred at 7 p.m. to Emergency Medical Services, Jenkins said.
HFD personnel tried to find her companions, if any, but found none, Jenkins said.
Five HFD companies and Air 1, including 16 personnel, responded to the incident.

Hope no foul play involved.
“Thud” implies a fall. I have hiked above the Manoa falls and it is very dangerous especially if it has been raining.
Another amazing response by HFD!!!
Thank you for being there for us.
