class act man, who taught you dat? your parents?
must be real proud of you
you neva hea the radio. Was some type of Cheby. They looking for a young 15 year or so African American with dreadlocks. Nothin good comes about staying out late at night into the morning hours. Bloods, Crips and whoever don’t know could have been the cause of this
3:00 am is not a good time to be on the road. very dark out there and too many meth-heads and drunks driving too fast.
What were 18 yr. old kids doing on the streets at 3AM. That old adage – nothing good happens between midnight and 5AM.
My thought exactly!
The 18 year old is an adult, although I agree that being out at that hour is not good.
The boy was 17. I assume in High School. No son of mine would be out on a school night at that hour.
you know how it goes nowadays. A lot of kids no mo the “dad” figure at home. Amen I say to you aomohoa, God Bless
Damn, Ewa…you scary!
yeah, Get some Pilau people over there in Ewa.
How sick is that hit and run guy? He’ll be haunted all life long.
unless this was on purpose
That is the question and now possibly a murder case. How sad.
Another report said that the suspect and the group were at a graduation party. After having an argument, the suspect returned and drove his car into the group hitting several people. Should be easy to ID and catch this guy.
HNN as said that underage drinking was involved at the party. Someone has some essplaining to do, Lucy.
Murder in the 1st or 2nd degree. What a way to start your life. Halawa Correctional will be your new home.
That is IF the girl dies. Condolences to the families.
Actually, under the law, an ATTEMPT at murder carries that same consequences as murder itself. Sentencing may be more lenient if a fatality did not actually occur, but it’s still the same Class of offense.
Hey, this is hawaii. It’ll be lessened to a misdemeanor.
no doubt about that!
Hey, don’t ask the cops to give us details about this attempted-murder suspect and his car. We’re too busy with their request to help them find a golf club thief!
Yeah, spot on! Given how backwards things are here, they’ll likely charge the victims for jay-walking and blame them that if they would have used the crosswalk this would have never happened.
The only thing that matters right now is the girl recovers. Everything else is secondary.
agree
Sorry to say but the girl passed away. RIP
So sad. So young. May God bless.
That is so sad. Frequently awful things happy to young people who are drinking in the middle of the night. I wish there was better parenting and supervision here.
that’s if they got “parents”. And if they have Parents, the parents may have lived the same life style. It goes in a cycle
Not everyone was 18. Where are the parents? They should be prosecuted to the fullest. It is unacceptable that underage juveniles whether they were drinking or not are out at these hours. We also need to remember that today was a school day.
The adults who provided alcohol to these underage persons should be made accomplish to the tragic event. Now a days, thanks to ACLU, parents have lost much of their control over their children’s well being. Now a 15 year old pregnant can get an abortion without parental consent…..
Oahuan – you mentioned that the girl passed away? So sad, but what were all of these young adults and high school student doing in the middle of the road at 3:00 a.m.? Where were the parent of the young adult that was having the party? So many questions, and such little answer. I wish the news paper would publish a little more details regarding this story. The news mentioned that no one from the party knew who this person was that hit this girl and boy. So confused.
