Fire destroys home in Wahiawa
Firefighters were mopping up after a two-alarm fire destroyed a home on Olive Avenue in Wahiawa this afternoon.
Firefighters responding to the 3:50 p.m. alarm found a home engulfed in flames at 246 Olive Ave., Fire Capt. David Jenkins said.
Firefighters from 10 companies brought the flames under control at 3:57 p.m.
A man living at the home escaped without injury.
The cause of the fire is under investigation. No damage estimate was immediately available, although the home is considered a total loss, Jenkins said.
